Frequently Asked Questions

The more we're asked the same questions, the more answers we will show here.

Q:
What time can we arrive at the villa?

A:
Normal arrival time is 4.00pm.

Q:
What time time do we have to leave the villa by?

A:
Normal departure time is 11.00am.

Q:
Can we request early arrival or late departure?

A:
Arrival and departure times are strict, due to change-over day. If no other guests are arriving/departing on the same day, it's possible. Each case is considered on its own merits.

Q:
Can you explain "Change-Over Day"?

A:
Normally, we rent our villa for a 7-day period (a week), and change-over day is Saturday. However, because of some flight operator schedules into Split, we have to consider alternative change-over days. We try to keep all stays Saturday-to-Saturday.

Q:
Do you include/arrange airport transfer?

A:
No, but we do provide instructions on how to get to our villa. See the our Location page for details, which also includes options to get to us by private power boat!

Q:
Do you have transport to get us around?

A:
Usually, you would use the hire car to get yourself around, but if you chose not to hire a car, our villa manager can arrange transport (at some cost). Everything is close-by, and actually in walking distance. There are also a couple of decent bicycles at the villa which can be used for going to the locals shops!

Q:
Are meals included in the rate?

A:
No, meals are not included. Breakfast €20 EUR per/person, Lunch €30 EUR per/person and Dinner €35 EUR per/person.

Q:
When is the chef available to cook for us?

A:
We have a caterer who comes to the villa upon request and prepares delicious local fresh food (pastas, seafood, meats on the bbq) which can be decided on a daily basis.  The cost for this is Breakfast €20 EUR per/person, Lunch €30 EUR per/person and Dinner €35 EUR per/person. This is a full service with table laid, waiter service and clearing up. The villa has an organic vegetable garden that guests are free to use.

Q:
How do we order our meals?

A:
Our villa manager will present you with a menu for you to choose your meals from. You can also 'request' something other than in the meanu and we will check if the chef can cook it for you.

Q:
How do we pay for our meals?

A:
During your stay, our villa manager will monitor your needs, such as meals, requested snacks and drinks etc. All purchases made for you are receipted and recorded for payment at the end of your stay.

Q:
How many baby cots do you have for our infants?

A:
We currently have 1 baby cot.

Q:
Can you arrange tours, daytrips, excursions, etc?

A:
Yes, our villa manager can do all this for you when you are at the villa.

Q:
What's the weather like...?

A:
There are plenty of resources on the web for both previous, current and near future. Google is your friend here.

Q:
Is your villa elderly and/or wheelchair-friendly?

A:
Elderly should be ok, so long as not too frail. The villa is set on 3 or more levels, so wheelchair access would be quite difficult.

Q:
Do you have a Welcome Pack for when we arrive?

A:
Yes. There's a generous welcome pack provided upon arrival. It usually contains fresh local produce eg milk, butter, breads, cold meats, cheese, jams, honey, juice, pasta, olive oil etc. You will find the drinks cabinet with many different liquors for your use, complimentary, as well as all the starter condiments. We always have the drinks fridge full of cold beer, wine and soft drink – this is charged at cost for what you use at the end of your stay. Anything else you need should be available from the local supermarkets, or from in town just a short drive away.

Q:
Is there an ATM (cash machine) nearby?

A:
Yes, just a few minutes away.

Q:
When do you want my flight details?

A:
Once your booking is confirmed with us, you can send us your flight details any time you have them. In fact, the sooner the better.

Q:
How do we confirm and pay for our stay?

A:
Our reservations staff will talk to you by email to complete your enquiry and once your preferred dates are confirmed as available and you have chosen to go ahead, you will be required to pay a 30% deposit to confirm your stay. All payments are by direct bank transfer only, and you will be provided with detailed payment processing information. Transfers usually take 3-4 business days. When the funds have been received and cleared into our account, we send you an email to confirm receipt. Final payments will be reminded to you at approximately 3-months before arrival, and payment needs to be received by us no later than 2-months before arrival. For any bookings within 3-months of arrival, full payment is required (not deposit and final). Please note that we do not accept payment by PayPal.

Q:
Can we contact you by telephone?

A:
Yes. We can call you. But first, please submit your details using our Reservations Enquiry form so that we have some insight on what we're going to be talking about.
Note
Remember to include your telephone contact details in the Additional Information box!
